Just turn up. Well worth the wait. Bars next door of you want a beer
They do not reserve. We really liked it.
For the opening time, I strongly advise you to contact them directly. And yes, we eat very well.
That I remember not! But the dishes are plentiful !!! And with one you eat to spare .... it's not like in Spain! The restaurants for guiris as they call them with menu of the day are close to the meona girl!
I paid cash. Not sure about cards.
A wonderful, cozy, and friendly place for a traditional bistro meal made with care and good ingredients. Great (and affordable!) wine and beer selection as well.
It was the best restaurant I have had in Belgium. I tried the rabbit dish and the meat just fall of the bone. The price was also not that bad. The environment was splendid this is one of the must visit place in Belgium. This was my last meal before going to Switzerland and I was happy I ate here. Great customer service as well.
Exceptional! We went on a Sunday (line was too long for us on a Saturday), because we read good things but wanted to see for ourselves (took a risk it might be a tourist trap). But we were really impressed with the cozy atmosphere, and great selection of creative food. Rabbit with cranberry, meat & leeks wrapped in bacon, cheesy vegetarian lasagna, and much more. Menu was in french, but waitress was super friendly, helpful, and fun. So, worth the wait! (But do know there might be a line at regular times.)
Fantastic!! Great find! We loved the home made and local food they have. Very friendly and helpful staff. The menu is in French but they are happy to help you in English and explain their menu. Quick and efficient service. The food tasted delicious and lot of beers from the tap and bottled. Bring some cash money because you are only able to pay cash or with a local Belgium banking app (a card machine is on order according to the staff, so maybe this changes soon). Online seat reservation via their website is advised in the current "Covid-19 situation".
The food was absolutely amazing! And the staff were fabulous and really made the experience even more enjoyable! You can't book so expect to wait a short while but it's SO worth it! You can get a drink at the bar while you wait. They have heaps of vegetarian options as well! The lasagne was particularly delicious!
Amazing food. Reasonable price. Great beers. No cards accepted
Tradicional, simple and absolutely delicious! Bonus for the huge board menu they bring to your table 😂
The food is deliciously home-made and the portions are large. The atmosphere is lively and simple. The service is kind and efficient and courteous. We ate here everyday for three days it was so good!
I could order without waiting at open time. It was so delicious but I couldn't eat it all because there were so many. Especially the potato was so good, I wanted to take it home. the staff was kind and the interior of the store was nice.
Absolutely incredible, been to bang average restaurants and paid more! Food was outstanding and amazing service. Will definitely revisit!
French restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Large selection of drinks and rotating menu. Delicious food and great service. I had the rabbit and a sesame mouse which was excellent.
I was in Bruxelles and I decided to this local with my collegues. This place was suggest by a friend who lives here since 2009. The local is in the center of the city. Waiters are polite and friendly. They can speak a lot of language and are very patient. We order four different kind of bear and some typical dishes with meat and vegetable or with fish and vegetables. Both the decision were very good. Even the price was good! I will come back for sure.
Great waiters, great good. Don't hesitate to come
Lovely venue and menu. The menu changes and is only on a blackboard next to the bar - as an English speaker this made it a bit difficult, but the staff were very happy to help translate and offer recommendations of beer to pair. We had a lovely meal for lunch at a fair price - but do note it is cash only!
Urban, modern and definitely traditional belgian restaurant 📝✓ Familiar vibe.✓ Menu on blackboards.✓ Wide variety of fresh plates.✓ Not salty nor sugared.✓ Good quality.✓ Very nice informal service.✓ Decoration is flashy.~ No cards.~ Noisy and crowdedPersonally I didn't like much the food due to its taste although portions were good!
Lovely restaurant in the heart of Brussels. The food was excellent. As a vegetarian (🌱), I had the vegetable lasagna - not very traditional, but it was great (full of cheese 🧀). The menu offers a lot of traditional options and it’s written in a blackboard close to the bar - in French. Since it’s a very popular/trendy restaurant, usually the queue is very long, but we went for a very early dinner on Sunday, so there was no line at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful to translate the menu. Also the price was fair for what you’re getting. Great value! 🤑
Okay. If you’re craving or wanting to try real Belgian food, this is the place for you. Prices are super reasonable and portions are ginormous. Staff are incredibly helpful, the vibe is great and energetic, and the food is just delish. Accompany your meal with a couple of Belgian beers and you are good to go. Bring cash, as they don’t accept cards. Also - bring your appetite, because you’ll need it!
Menu in French, but waitress was kind enough to recommend us the best sellers in English. Had rabbit and beef stew. Great service. Great food. Went early to beat the crowd. Very adorable too.
Simple, traditional home cooked dishes well made. This restaurant is a gem of a find. The first thing to note was the queue. We were lucky that when we came the queue was after us. The menu was simple and only on a blackboard. The dishes were all in french so I asked the friendly waiter to help us with it. My wife had the pork knuckle in a mustard sauce, my daughter had the ribs but we were recommended to get the half portion which was still extremely plentiful and I had the braised beef with mash. All of it arrived very promptly and was absolutely delicious. If I ever come to Brussels again I am definitely making a beeline for there.
Was recommended this place by a friend and very glad we went. You can’t book so got super lucky when they had a table when we arrived. Staff were funny and friendly. Food was amazing, can highly recommended the sausage and mash, delicious! Prices are very reasonable especially for such quality. One thing to note is that it is cash only, no card payments.
Expensive food but it's worth every penny. The food is absolutely amazing. We had some trouble with choosing what to eat because the menu is in franch, but we used google reviews photos to show what we want and so the lady understood perfectly, and delivered to us the best dishes. The service is excellent, the staff is very active and nice. Crowded and loud, but it's understandable considering the good food. We had Argentinian stake (22 euros sides included) and lamb (18 euros sides included) both absolutely delicious.
Dined here again on my trip to Brussels. Their menu is written on the board behind the bar. I love the pork knuckle.
This place was well worth the wait! The staff was great and the food was epic. Go eat here.
The best meal I had in Brussels! My friends and I did lots of research online before our trip, and we found this place serving traditional Belgian food highly rated. They are also open until midnight, which is great for flexible travel schedules. Lines get pretty long during peak hours, but we only had to wait 20 min when we got there around 8:30pm. The next night there was no one when we walked in around 11pm.
One of my favourite restaurants of Belgian cusine in Brussels. Prices are cheap and meal are huge. Everything is tasty and well cooked. You can't book a table so there is a queue outside but the service is fast.
Excellent food, best we had in Brussels. The beef stew is really good but the ham with mustard sauce is really on the next level, best thing I've eaten in ages. Service a little slow. Not terrible but definitely not great. But well worth it for the really great food.
Excellent and reasonably priced food/drinks. Service was very good, and meals were prepared quickly. Food was delicious, and they offered a nice list of local beers. Highly recommend
The rabbit and beef stew are the best I have ever had. The staff are so welcoming and kind enough to explain the menu. I will miss this place.
Excelent restaurant specialized in Belgian food. It is probable that you will need to wait for a table because it is very disputed and there is no previous reservation. Another important information: only cash. But everything is rewarded when you get one of the specialties (I suggest the rabbit), everything in huge portions - go hungry! The attendants are kind and efficient. It is a must go place in Brussels.
Wonderful food, wonderful experience. We don't speak much french but we got by with reading the menu/chalkboard and the waiters all spoke english so we had no problem. Community style seating, you may end up sharing your table. We got there around 7 and we were able to sit right away but by 7:30 it was packed and there was no more seating left. Not your place of you want something fancy and quiet with white table clothes but if you if you like good food and beer and enjoy being in a vibrant room of people, this was great ambiance.
I love this restaurant!!! Not only was the food and beer amazing, my 2 year old was melting down and the staff arrived with chocolates and smiles and made her and us right at home! If you are in Brussels, I cannot recommend enough!!! 10 stars!!! Merci
Delicious food and very friendly and helpful staff made for a welcoming atmosphere without any pretension. A simple menu of perhaps no more than 12 dishes, with, as you'd expect for Brussels, a good range of beers and wines. Beware: like many places in Brussels, they accept cash only - no plastic! Recommend
This is probably the best restaurant in the city, the cuisine is beyond praise, very cozy and warm, the staff is responsive, kind, everything is wonderful!
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. This place is super amazing with long queue. When you see the crowd is willing to wait in the queue, you know the food is good. I ordered the beef stew, amazing food. The waiter who served me was patient to translate all the menu in French to English for me. Must visit..
Great food in a busy but laid back place. Always recommend this, and can't wait to go back. My favourite restaurant in Brussels.
Incredible with huge portions, amazing service, and great atmosphere. Thankfully when we arrived at 6pm there were a few tables free as it filled up after that! Portions were massive but not quantity over quality: the food was very incredible and tasty with each mouthful! Also they gave us a large amount of delicious fresh bread
excellent food, nice prices. love this place
Service was excellent, spoke English to us and we're very courteous. We got our food very quickly even though the place was full. The menu is in French so be prepared to translate or ask the staff lots of questions!
Verry good food and reasonably priced 🍲👍👍
Great place to try Belgian food. The interior feels quite unique with interesting portraits on the walls, and the staff are very attentive even though they are extremely busy. The house red wine and the carbonade were excellent. Expect to wait in line outside for a table, noting that it's not possible to make a reservation. It's also cash only. Definitely recommend this place if you want to try Belgian food and you're not in a rush.
Amazingly filling food. I had the beef stew and could not even finish the plate. Extremely friendly servers that spoke English and they took the time to explain the menu. We went early for the city it felt like, around 5, and the restaurant was only half filled. Not many beer choices, but the ones there were cheap and tasty. Highly recommended!
Pretty much the bestestes place to eat in Brussels. Super friendly staff great food good beer. Now with outside space. Can be a bit tricky with bigger groups as they are popular and finding space for groups bigger than 6 can be difficult but they will try anything to accommodate you.
Amazing atmosphere, amazing food. Really good value for money (the portions are big). I had the lamb stew and I would go back for it. They don’t take reservations, so if it’s too crowded you might have to queue. Really recommend, it was a lovely experience!
Excellent food, excellent service! It was recommended by a local and I am so happy we went!!! Spare ribs and stew!! I wish we were staying another night in Brussels so that we could eat there again! Did I mention the staff was great?? They happily read the menu to us because we didn't speak French. Thank you fellas!!!
Great place to eat, food tasty and delicious, nice view. Incredible with huge portions, amazing service, and great atmosphere.
The food is deliciously home-made and the portions are large. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is quite efficient! I was with 2 other friends and we ate here 2 days in a row.
If you want to try the local meals, It is definitely the right place.
Lovely service staff. The feel of the place felt very authentic for proper Belgian cuisine. Would recommend for a visit when visiting Bruxelles. Prices and food amount is great too
Casual and friendly service. Traditional dishes however the seasonings left a lot to be desired. Moderately priced.
